Why you should support local communities—and attend the Foundation’s event at Convention

We believe that local elected and appointed officials should have access to the knowledge and skills they need to lead and govern their communities, but most municipalities have little-to-no funding for professional development.

The MML Foundation provides both affordable research-based training and scholarships that allow these leaders to access helpful resources. Your investment can help local elected officials get the tools they need to identify, develop, and implement strategies that will grow and strengthen Michigan’s communities.

One way you can help create vibrant communities is by attending the Foundation’s Sept. 14 fundraising event during the League’s Convention in Holland next month. Generously sponsored by DTE Energy and KeyBank, the event will be held at the beautiful, lakeside Boatwerks. Drink tickets, appetizers, and fun entertainment are included. The cost is $50 and bus transportation will be provided from Convention venues.

We hope you can join us for this great networking opportunity while also investing in making Michigan communities better.
