Annual Online/Silent Auction

Each year since 1993, the MML Foundation has hosted a silent auction at the Michigan Municipal League's Annual Convention. The nearly $100,000 raised by this popular event has been used to support the Foundation's general fund and to respond to special requests from the MML and other government-related organizations in Michigan.

In 2009, we added the online feature to our auction process. Participants had the option to contribute and bid for donated items online prior to the live silent auction event.

This annual event presents a great opportunity to bring home unique gifts representing communities across Michigan and to donate an item that highlights local businesses and talent within the community.

Examples of donable items include romantic overnight hotel packages, weekend getaway packages, tickets to art or history museums, movie theaters, sporting events, golf courses or theme parks. Enlist your colleagues, staff, and local businesses for generating ideas. Look at local festivals, restaurants, celebrity residents and local artists creations, local manufacturers, and service providers.
